KT_9 Handle Stops At Or Below Trip Position When Breaker Is Turned Off

Why Does My Motor Controller Handle Not Turn Completely To The Off Position?:

Problem:

It has been found on KTA9-32S, KT_9-40H and KTU9 devices that if the handle of the device is switched off slowly and by applying force towards the cover of the device, an anomaly can happen that due to tolerance stack up and in some of the devices. The anomaly is that the breaker handle will stop at or below the trip position when turning handle to the OFF position.

Solution:

There is no issue for the normal operation and function of the breaker, but we understand that this is not a desired way of operation.

The handle can be moved to the OFF position with light rotational movement or in worst case, the handle may be required to be moved back to the ON position and after that the handle can be bought back to the OFF position with normal speed.

Please do not apply pressure towards the cover of the device. If taking these measures does not correct the situation, we suggest returning the device to your local Sprecher+Schuh distributor for replacement.
