Scott Sorensen, Industry Sales Leader - Oil & Gas

Houston, TX — March 10, 2026— Sprecher + Schuh is pleased to announce the hiring of Scott Sorensen as the company’s new Industry Sales Leader – Oil & Gas, a newly created strategic role aimed at strengthening the company’s position and partnership support within one of its most critical market segments.

Sorensen brings more than 14 years of experience in the Automation and Process industries, having worked across both large multinational corporations and innovative, high‑growth technology companies. His background includes extensive work in distribution, product engagement, and field applications, as well as supporting advanced automation technologies for critical Oil & Gas environments.

In this new role, Sorensen will help drive strategic alignment between Sprecher + Schuh’s product offerings, channel partners, and Oil & Gas customers—ensuring enhanced market support, improved application insights, and long‑term growth.

Sorensen began his career in electronic component distribution and went on to complete his college education at the University of Houston–Downtown. Originally from New Jersey, he attributes his strong work ethic to early experiences—including his first job at age 12 as a newspaper carrier—and credits his family for their ongoing support throughout his career.

“The thing I love most about this industry is the unique engineering challenges we encounter every day,” Sorensen shared. “I’ve had the opportunity to support mission‑critical applications, including rigorous Oil & Gas environments and autonomous surface vessel systems for the U.S. Navy. I’m excited to apply that experience to Sprecher + Schuh’s offerings and support the success of our channel partners.’
