Lou Smet, General Manager

Houston, TX — August 19, 2025— Sprecher + Schuh is pleased to announce that Lou Smet is named general manager for Sprecher + Schuh, effective Monday, August 25th.

Lou will lead the Sprecher + Schuh portfolio strategy, driving solutions to our customers, prospects, and partners. He will be laser focused on growing market share for our wide-ranging portfolios offered across our motor control and protection business.  

Lou joins with more than 30 years of commercial sales experience, including an early career with Sprecher + Schuh and introducing the D7 pilot device product line. He joins us from Rockwell Automation, where his most recent role included director for Portfolio Engineering. Prior to that role, Lou led the Rockwell Automation Customer Support organization for the West Coast. We are confident in Lou’s proven leadership and extensive experience, which will be instrumental in achieving our strategic goals for the Sprecher + Schuh brand.
