Control & Timing Relays
CS7 General Purpose Control Relays
Interchangeable coils mean long life
CS7 Industrial Control Relays share the same design as our modern CA7 contactor range. They are compact and designed for heavy-duty industrial control applications where reliability and versatility are essential.
- Mechanically-linked contacts
- X-stamp contacts for up to 10A (AC-15) on standard relay
- Master relay for up to 15A (AC-15)
- Bifurcated relay with H-bridge for low energy switching to 5V @ 3mA
- Auxiliary components provide a range of options
Electronic DC Coils
The CS7 line includes voltage options with Electronic DC Coils. CS7E Industrial Relays are the same size as AC relays which results in a lower depth than typical DC relays. CS7E relays are more energy efficient, easier to wire and promote uniform panel appearance. Available from 12V to 220V DC, learn more from the CS7E literature.
Designed for long life
The base CS7 relay consists of four poles rated to 25 general purpose amps. Up to eight additional auxiliary contacts may be added for a total of 12 poles. Auxiliaries are rated up to 10 amps general purpose. Unlike commercial relays that are essentially disposable, CS7 relays are extremely rugged with interchangeable coils. They are designed for long life and reliability.
Positively guided contacts for safety
CS7 control relays are perfect for fail-safe control circuits. An interlock contact design, which maintains minimum 0.3mm clearance, prevents the NC contact from reclosing if the NO contact is welded when in operation. This feature includes not only the base contact poles, but extends to the front and/or side mounted auxiliary contacts. This is a requirement in safety circuits.
CS7 relays are DIN-rail mountable for instant installation and modification. Fittings are also included for base mounting. All terminals are clearly marked and shipped in the open position for installation with either manual or power screwdrivers. A complete identification system is also available using self-adhesive labels, paper tags or plastic clip-on tags.
Accessory components provide a range of options
Many CS7 accessories are interchangeable with the CA7 contactor product line, reducing inventory costs. CA7/CS7 auxiliary components convert the basic four pole relay into a:
- 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 or 12 pole relay
- 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 pole latched relay
- 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 pole relay with two pneumatic time delay contacts
- Mechanically latched 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 pole relay
International Standards and Approvals
All Sprecher + Schuh General Purpose Control Relays are UL-listed and CSA-approved. They also carry the CE mark, and provide finger and back-of-hand protection to the highest international standards.
